For Jessica...
Please everyone say a little prayer for Jessica. She is having a rough day today and she's not feeling well.
She has spent the last 8 weeks taking care of Livi while still spending every spare minute with Brian...lathering him up with lotion so he'll feel better, loving him and cheering him on. And now she needs us.
Jessica when you read this, please remember that we are still right here with you. You have so many friends surrounding you with love and we are just so very proud of you. And it's OK to feel frustrated and sad - life isn't fair. But we will do anything to make this a little easier for you.
________
Ecclesiastes 4:8-10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”

Hey Jessica,
I know you aren't feeling well and I can't imagine what the hospital visits, single parenting and work are doing to you both physically and emotionally, but I want to encourage you to keep pressing on because in Phillipians 4:19 it says, "...my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Like Jamie said, you aren't alone! You are in our prayers!
Love,
Kelli
Hi Jessica,
I am a friend of Jamie's and through her and this blog I have been keeping up with Brian. I cannot even begin to fathom what day to day life must be like, but have faith and hope that you are surrounded by sweet prayers and enormous love. You, Brian and Livi are constantly on my mind and daily in my prayers. Today I am praying for strength to finish another day, perserverance to make it through the long recovery and trust that God has this all under his control.
With love and prayers,
Whitney Tingle
Jessica,
I'm sure that sometimes it seems that everybody is sending encouraging words and prayers and those are great and wonderful and absolutely necessary and appreciated but what you really need (on occasion) is for somebody to say "This whole situation sucks SO bad that I just don't know what to do" and this situation does suck really really bad!
I will not stop praying and wishing the best for you, Brian and Olivia; however, when I get in my car today, I am going to let out a really big loud scream for you!!!! Sometimes you just have to do that - then I will go back to all of the wonderful positive things that I want to say, do and think all the time!!
(I would scream now, but my coworkers might be a little upset with me)
Remember, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else!
:)
Love,
Shannon
Jessica,
I am just so sorry for this hurt you are feeling-God is carrying you and your little girl...His promises are always kept. He will never leave you alone. Please keep trusting and knowing you are lifted up many times in prayer.

Hi Jessica,
Like so many have already said, I cannot imagine what you are dealing with day by day - and no, it isn't fair, and yes, it hurts, and yes, it is getting old - really old. All three of you are in my prayers daily - often more than once. While I know that it may seem so empty to you now, my prayer today is that God will just put His arms around you so that you can know Him and have total faith that He alone can get you through this. He alone is the Greatest Healer, the Greatest Comforter, and the Greatest Source of insight when things just don't make sense. In Hebrews 13:5-6, He promises never to leave us or forsake us and is ALWAYS with us. We should not be afraid - no matter what.
Sweetie, (no offense, I call all my younger friends that - since I'm old enough to be your Mother! :) anyway, even when life makes no sense at all, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS know that GOD WILL be there with you. Lean on Him completely.
Love,
Kathy Waites
HI, Jess
I am not the most religious person but I do pray for Brian everynight. I guess I forgot to pray for you and the doctors, to do their job right.
You are a very strong person we all can look up to.
Jessica,
Though you don't know us, there are many who are praying for you, Brian, and Livi. I pray that God will wrap his love around you and that you will feel his presence even in your darkest moments. Problems can be overwhelming at times, but there is no problem bigger than God. HE is an awesome God and he loves the three of you and he feels you pain. I know that you are exhausted in so many ways and I am asking that God carry you through these times.
Love,
Faye
Jessica, you are astonishing!

Just want you to know that not a day goes by that we don't pray for you and Brian and our sweet little Olivia. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Janette Corona have their prayer group praying for Brian. Gary is a true beleiver in the power of prayer. Three years ago the medical community gave him 18 months. Please know that there are many out there keeping your family close to their hearts and cheering every little improvement Brian makes. You are an incrediable young lady and I have a lot of respect for you. There is always hope.

PRAYING WITH YOUR HAND:
Your thumb is nearest to you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest ones to remember. To pray for our loved ones is a "sweet duty."
The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom for pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.
The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for government officials, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.
The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many
is the fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.
And lastly comes our little finger, the smallest finger of all, which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself.
By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.
Jessica,
This is Steve, associate pastor at Jamie's home church in Hawkinsville. Sorry to hear you are having a down day. That's certainly understandable--I can only imagine all you've been through, and the toll it must take. You're entitled to some time to care for yourself, too. I pray that Brian will get better, and that the two of you will be drawn closer to one another and to God. God knows your pain--the biblical book of Isaiah says of Jesus that "he was a man of sorrows, and much acquanted with grief." Maybe there is comfort in knowing that God understands what you all are going through, and suffers along side you, because he is a loving Father and wants good things for his children. Take care, and we'll all keep praying for the best.
Steve
I love you guys! You are all in my prayers and I hope to see you soon!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately!!!!!
PLEASE call me Jessica if you need a friend or some help with ANYTHING!!!!!!!!
Love,
Lindsay Hodges
So happy to hear that you're getting better Brian. Keep up the good work. I know you can do it! Love, Grandma
Hi Brian-
It's your Aunt Billie! Keep the faith and hang in there. Sometimes things take a little longer than we'd like them to, but prayers and love can do wonders...
XOXO
